Marciel Dies At Home In Valley View

HANA, Aug. 16 — Anthony V. Marciel, well-known rancher of Kaupo, died at his home at Valley View, Kaupo, at 5:45 Monday following a prolonged illness.
Mr. Marciel, who was 58 years old, suffered an attack of heart disease. He was a well known kamaaina and rancher.
Born in Kahikinui, Kaupo, he was graduated from the Kaupo Public School and the St. Louis College. He was married in Wailuku to Lily Aki. He was very active in the work of Catholic Church of which he was a devoted member.
Services were held at the Catholic Church at Kaupo and burial at his own lot. Father Cyril Eraly officiated.
Besides the widow, Mrs. Lily Aki Marciel, Mr. Marciel is survived by a son, Herbert Marciel of Honolulu; four daughters, Mrs. Joseph Taylor of Honolulu, Mrs. Clarence Medeiros of Honolulu, Mrs. Andrew Freitas of Honolulu and a daughter Violet Marciel, student at St. Andrew’s Priory, Honolulu.
Also surviving are three brothers, Joseph V. Marciel of Valley View, Kaupo; Francis V. Marciel, Road Overseer of Hana, John Marciel of Wailuku and a sister, Mrs. Herman Lake of Wailuku.
