Halekou

Feature:Heiau
Comments:Heiau in the Kailiili region of Nuu described by archaeologist Winslow Walker following a survey of Kaupo in 1929: "Location: At Kailiili up the gulch from Nuu at an elevation of about 600 feet. Description: A large heiau 145 feet long and 90 feet across at the widest part. It belongs to the open platform type with a wall at the back and across one end. The high platform is located in the west end as seen in the plan. … Wauke plants from which tapa was made grew best in this kind of country. One of them was found growing on the heiau itself at the western end."
