Comments:Identified as an ahupuaa on the circa-1880s Hawaiian Government Survey map of Kaupo. Also the name of the bay between Pahihi and Hawelewele gulches.

Diacretical spelling provided by the book "Sites of Maui" by Elspeth P. Sterling.

Today, a popular camping site known as “Plenty Kiawe”.
