Comments: | Likely ahupuaa described as "land section" in a list of Hawaiian place names included in "A Dictionary of the Hawaiian Language"Â by Lorrin Andrews and Henry Parker. One of the three cooperative associations in Kaupo in 1879 was located at Keahuloa, according to an article in Ka Nupepa Kuokoa in September of that year. Keahuloa is contained in an appendix list of ahupuaa and large ili in "Report of the Superintendent of the US Coast and Geodetic Survey Showing the Progress of the Work From July 1, 1901, to June 30, 1902". |
