Keanakukoa

Feature:Cave
Comments:Cave in Kaupo Gap. Location unknown, but just below Kawaanaau based on the description by Bishop Museum researcher Thomas Maunupau in his account of his trip to Kaupo Gap in May 1922: "Hiki makou i kahi e ku ana he kumu koa nui, a malalo o keia kumu koa nui, he ana i ka pali, a ua kapaia keia wahi o Keanakukoa." (We arrived at a place were an immense koa tree stood. Beneath this large koa tree was a cave in a cliff, and this place was called Keanakukoa.)
Location:Unknown
