Moku Puhi

Alternate name:Moku Piko
Comments:Name of one of the islets at Mokulau, according to Kaupo native . Also called MoDaniel Kawaiaeaku Piko. Traditionally, parents would place a newborn's umbilical cord (piko) on Moku Puhi, and legend held that a giant eel (puhi) would protect the piko.
