Opakalua

Feature:Gulch
Comments:Gulch west of Manawainui Valley.

Place name provided by Kaupo native Josephine Kealoha Marciel to historian Mary Kawena Pukui in an interview in May 1960. The location is also identified on U.S. Geological Survey maps.

A spring deep in the gulch provided water to area residents via bamboo pipes in the early 1900s.
