Comments:Place mentioned in the legend of Heleipawa by historian Samuel Kamakau, published in the newspaper Ke Au Okoa on Oct. 21, 1869.

Located between Nuanualoa Gulch and Kalaeoaihe.

Diacretical spelling comes from a translation of Kamakau's legend by Mary Kawena Pukui in the book "Tales and Traditions of the People of Old".
