Puulakua

Feature:Heiau, undefined place
Comments:Heiau in Maipalaha ahupuaa described in the Hawaiian Ethnological Notes collection at the Bishop Museum: "Maipalaha is the ahupuaa. Puu-la-kua was the heiau where human sacrifices were offered. A certain chief, Kekaulike, lived there and this heiau belonged to him. His royal son of the high lineage of Kaalaneo was born there, the chief Kamehameha."

Possibly the same heiau as Puuakua.

Puulakua is contained in an appendix list of ahupuaa and large ili in "Report of the Superintendent of the US Coast and Geodetic Survey Showing the Progress of the Work From July 1, 1901, to June 30, 1902".
