Feature:Undefined place
Alternate spelling:Keekeehia
Comments:Grassland area in southeastern Haleakala Crater near Paliku Cabin. Described by Bishop Museum researcher Thomas Maunupau in his account of his trip to Kaupo Gap in May 1922: "O keia wahi o Waikeekeehia he kuono keia i ke kumupali. … He maikai nae ke ano o keia wahi, o ia hoi, palahalaha ka aina me ka uliuli i ka mauu." (This place, Waikeekeehia, is at a cleft in the cliff. … This is a fine place. The land is flat with dark grass.)

Referred to as "Keekeehia" in an obituary in the newspaper Ko Hawaii Pae Aina in June 1881: "Aloha au o ke kula o Keekeehia." (My love for the field of Keekeehia.)
