Location unknown, but just below Kawaanaau based on the description by Bishop Museum researcher Thomas Maunupau in his account of his trip to Kaupo Gap in May 1922: "Hiki makou i kahi e ku ana he kumu koa nui, a malalo o keia kumu koa nui, he ana i ka pali, a ua kapaia keia wahi o Keanakukoa." (We arrived at a place were an immense koa tree stood. Beneath this large koa tree was a cave in a cliff, and this place was called Keanakukoa.) |
