Comments:Place mentioned in a eulogy in Ka Hoku o ka Pakipika in October 1862: "Kuu kaikaina mai ka ua lu lehua o Haili e." (My sister of the lehua-scattering rain of Haili.)

Mentioned in an obituary in Ke Au Okoa in October 1866: "Eia au la i Haili, i walea au i ke kui pua lehua." (Here I am at Haili, passing time stringing lehua flowers.)

Mentioned in an article about a storm in Ka Nupepa Kuokoa in September 1871: "Mamua ae paha o ka hora 7, lohe mua makou i ka halulu me he hekili la, ma ke kuahiwi mai, e pili ana i ka puu o Ahulili a me ke kumu lehua kaulana hoi o Haili."
