Memorial Resolution
("Olelo Hooholo Hoalohaloha", Nupepa Kuokoa, August 26, 1921)
Whereas it pleased the Almighty Father to take our fellow worker Mrs. Agnes Makekau1 from this fragile world after suffering from illness for some months.
Because of her poor health, she again sought respite in Honolulu with her queen.2 They left Kaupo in July.
She was a member and secretary of our C. E.3, and she was a member of the church board.4
Therefore, Kaupo, where the rain makes one hide behind stone walls, you will not see our friend again. She has vanished. You will no longer see her passing through your neighborhoods.
Therefore, we the committee are filled with love, sorrow, and a heavy heart.
